Summary

Sharv Shenvi Storms Into the Final With a 30–4 Semifinal Win

Sharv Shenvi needed only 12 minutes to turn an U11 Boys' Singles semifinal into a straight-games victory, beating Venanzio Fernandes 15–1, 15–3 on Court 6.

The match began with Shenvi taking the first eight rallies without reply. Fernandes finally got on the board at 12–0, but Shenvi answered immediately and closed the opening game 15–1. The second game opened more evenly: Fernandes levelled at 1–1 and later narrowed the score to 4–2. Shenvi then restored control, moving from 4–2 to 6–2 before the interval and stretching the lead to 8–3 afterward.

The decisive pattern was Shenvi’s ability to convert almost every opening phase. He won nine of the 10 game-start rallies recorded, while Fernandes won only one. Shenvi also claimed 25 of 29 rallies on his serve and all five listed receiving rallies. His longest streak reached 12; Fernandes’ longest was one.

There was one notable pause in the second game: after Shenvi led 6–2, the next recorded rally came 73 seconds later. It did not change the direction of the match. Shenvi won every remaining rally, finishing the game 15–3 and advancing to match 15. Fernandes managed four points across the match, including three in the second game, but Shenvi’s early starts and uninterrupted finish settled the semifinal.
