Summary

Shaheen C K and Dimple Revankar win mixed doubles after a two-point final

A two-point margin separated Shaheen C K / Dimple Revankar from Sanath Kamat / Anar Singbal in the BPS State Badminton Ranking Tournament 2026 mixed-doubles final, as the third seeds won 2–1 in 37 minutes, recorded at 4:22 pm on 9 Aug 2026. The result completed a three-match, 6–1-games title run for Shaheen and Dimple, who finished with one deciding-game win and 84 minutes on court.

The 12-entry knockout began with four Round-of-16 byes. The first played matches included the unseeded Rahul Deswal / Malaika Lobo defeating eighth seeds Chirag Mahale / Synnovia Dsouza 2–0, while seventh seeds Mohammad Nadaf / Riya Haldankar edged Avdhut Saptoji / Nysa Dhupdale 2–0 after overcoming a four-point deficit. The top seeds, Aryaman Saraf / Sufiya Shaikh, entered through a bye but were then beaten 0–2 by sixth seeds Rudra Phadte / Shivanjali Thite in the quarterfinal.

The quarterfinals reshaped the draw. Sanath Kamat / Anar Singbal beat fifth seeds Aswin Mannambalath / Rifa Shaikh 2–1, and second seeds Ayaan Shaikh / Yasmin Sayed survived a deciding game against Nadaf / Haldankar. Shaheen and Dimple stopped the unseeded Cinderella run 2–0, setting up a semifinal against Ayaan and Yasmin, which they won 2–0.

The other semifinal was the event’s longest match: Sanath and Anar needed 42 minutes and three games to get past Rudra and Shivanjali 2–1. That path made Sanath and Anar the draw’s escape artists, winning two of their three deciding games and spending 113 minutes on court. But the final belonged to Shaheen and Dimple, who beat two seeded opponents and finished the completed event as champions.
