Mahipal Sinh Parmar and Priyansh Sawant Dessai Complete Unbeaten U11 Boys’ Doubles Run

Mahipal Sinh Parmar and Priyansh Sawant Dessai turned five entries and three byes into a perfect title run at the BPS State Badminton Ranking Tournament 2026 in Navelim, winning all three played matches without dropping a game.

Their first contest, recorded on 8 Aug at 4:55 pm, was the quarterfinal against Akshat Dodiya and Itchit Prabhudessai. The champions won 30 of the match’s 35 points, including a 12-point longest streak, and advanced 2–0 in 13 minutes. In the semifinals, recorded on 9 Aug at 12:07 pm, they beat Aariketh Chari and Rajveer Tari 2–0, taking 30 of 43 points in a 17-minute match.

The other semifinal reshaped the draw. Top seeds Sambhav Bhardwaj and Venanzio Fernandes were beaten 2–1 by unseeded Namish Revankar and Srihaan Dessai in the event’s longest and closest match: 25 minutes, three games and only a two-point aggregate margin. Namish and Srihaan also won the deciding game, turning their single decider into a victory and removing the No. 1 pair from the path to the final.

That escape produced a final, but not another close contest. Mahipal and Priyansh defeated Namish and Srihaan 2–0 in 14 minutes, with the match recorded at 4:01 pm on 9 Aug. They finished with six games won from six, 90 points for and 27 against across their three matches, while the entire event required nine games and 69 minutes on court.

The draw’s shape is the telling detail: the only deciding game belonged to the semifinal upset, while the eventual champions never needed one. An unseeded pair cleared the top seed, but Mahipal and Priyansh stayed unbeaten to close the event as champions.
