Amaira Dhumatker Completes an Unbeaten 8–0 Run in U11 Girls’ Singles

Amaira Dhumatker never dropped a game at the BPS State Badminton Ranking Tournament 2026, closing the U11 Girls’ Singles draw with a 30–8 final win over Anvitha Poojari recorded at 3:13 pm on 9 Aug 2026.

The 16-player knockout began with eight Round of 16 matches and no deciders. The first seed beat Nupur Jogdand 30–4, then Keya Dessai 30–4 in the quarterfinal. Saachi Sinai Kenkre followed her through the other side of that half, beating fourth seed Samaira Velip 30–10 before meeting Dhumatker in the semifinal. Dhumatker won that match 30–1, the event’s most dominant recorded result at 97% of points won.

The other half changed shape in the quarterfinals. Unseeded Anvitha Poojari beat third seed Saumya Volvoikar 30–4, having already opened with a 30–3 victory over Meher Aghicha. Second seed Yashika Koneru survived the draw’s only deciding game, edging Oorvi Khyalia 39–37 on aggregate after 23 minutes. That two-point quarterfinal was both the closest and longest match, but Koneru’s run ended in the semifinal, where Poojari won 30–10.

Poojari’s three wins carried her to the final and included two seeded opponents, with Koneru her best scalp. Yet the title belonged to Dhumatker, who finished four wins from four, 120 points for and 17 against across 35 minutes on court. The champion’s path was spotless; the draw’s hardest contest came elsewhere, in the one match that required a third game.
