Kamesh Naik led 5-2 in the opening game and reached the interval 8-5 ahead, but Shaheen C K changed the shape of the match immediately afterward. Shaheen won the next five rallies to move from 5-8 to 10-8, then held off a late challenge to take the game 15-12.
