Synnovia Dsouza’s tournament lasted 48 minutes, but it demanded two different doubles tests on the same evening at Navelim. Her first match came in Mixed Doubles at 6:54 pm, where she and her partner lost 15-8, 15-9 to Rahul Deswal and Malaika Lobo. The 19-minute defeat ended that event in round one.

Fifty-seven minutes later, Dsouza returned for Women’s Doubles with the sixth-seeded pair. Against third seeds Shivanjali Thite and Shreya Mehta, the team went the distance: after losing the first game 15-13, they took the second 16-14 before falling 15-12 in the decider. That was the closest match of her tournament, producing 41 points for and 44 against.

The rally data shows a notable split between the events. In Mixed Doubles, Dsouza’s side won only one of seven rallies on her serve, while in Women’s Doubles she won 12 of 23. Across both matches, receiving produced 32 wins from 73 rallies, compared with 26 from 59 on serve. She also won more rallies after the interval than before it, 12 to 9, despite finishing without a victory.

The campaign closed with two first-round losses, but the Women’s Doubles match extended to three games and accounted for 29 of her 48 minutes on court.
